A leadership team member leads each overnight trip. Trips include cost of admission to activities, lodging, transportation and meals. Space is limited on all trips and registration is on a rolling basis. You may submit a separate check payable to Camp Sequoia for trip tuition (please note this on the check). Guidelines for additional spending money are listed below. Please note that trip dates as scheduled are subject to change (within the same session of camp) in case of forecast extreme inclement weather. Please note that, with the current global climate of uncertainty, our off campus trips will be limited this year (summer 2020). Please contact leadership for details.

Join us for a day of adventures in the woods with opportunities to hike, canoe, go swimming, build a fire, cook a meal over the coals, roast marshmallows, look for wildlife and spend the evening around the campfire eating S’mores watching the stars and telling stories. Wake up to the smell of hot chocolate and breakfast. We will have field games, a hiking option and a morning activity as options before returning to camp. This was our most popular trip in 2019.
Trip Tuition: $100
V.I.P. Rustic overnight adventure will be offered both first and second sessions this year due to it’s popularity in the past. This enhanced overnight experience features a longer time in the woods where campers can partake in activities like night hiking and learning constellations, fishing, paddle boating, useful knots and lashings and our own CAST IRON CHEF challenge with campers designing and competing on dutch oven cooking under the tutelage of Eagle Scouts.
For the V.I.P. meals, we offer some exotic dinner choices. In addition to more traditional options, campers can choose to round out their meal with choices such as frog legs, alligator, salmon (direct from King Salmon, AK), rabbit, quail, shark, steak or cornish game hen along with fresh roasted sides. Our breakfast for V.I.P. Rustic features locally grown blueberries, turned into pancakes with maple syrup with fresh fruit and juice. The perfect trip for those who want a unique outdoor experience.
Trip Tuition: $210
Our first stop will be to Lehigh Valley Laser Tag. Let’s see if you have what it takes to be a laser tag master in this two story arena full of glowing lights and fog! Next we’re headed to our hotel in Mount Pocono, PA for dinner and a night-time swim. Get a good night sleep because we have a big day ahead of us at CamelBeach Water Park. When it’s time to dry off we’ll take a ride up the mountain on the ski lift before returning to camp.
Trip Tuition: $240
If you’ve never been to the “sweetest place on earth” you’re in for a treat! After checking in at our hotel and taking a dip in the pool we’ll head to Hershey Park for a night of fun. The next day we’ll go back to the park for a full day of rides and excitement. Even if you don’t like scary rides you will still have a great time at Hershey Park! Did we mention the chocolate making tour in Chocolate World.
Trip Tuition: $180
Paintball is for ages 8+ and is offered both sessions. Participate in a day trip of extreme outdoor adventures, including an afternoon of paintball filled fun on a variety of fields and game format options, from quick skirmishes to longer team battles to capture the flag. We are soliciting input from current and returning Seniors and LIT’s for their trip. Prior trips have included Niagara Falls, York/Hershey, Baltimore/DC and Poconos adventures.
*Note that LIT’s (as part of their camp program) will have the opportunity during session 1 to design their own excursion within an established trip budget. This is additional to the trip offered first session
