Our CIT’s are graduates of the program (18+ years old) who can apply to become “Counselors in Training”. We limit this program to young men whom we feel would benefit from a scaffolded experience beyond what the LIT program offers. Typically a CIT will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of camp activities and provide (with supervision) near-peer mentorship in our community. CIT’s are campers who develop work readiness skills through their experience which intentionally has less defined structure than the LIT program. This flexible program is designed to help the young adults who participate to develop important transition skills related to success in their future endeavors.
It’s a place where you can meet people that are like you, have good relationships with, and have fun with.
