Unlike most traditional camps Sequoia is located on a gorgeous boarding school campus with air-conditioned dorms.
Campers at Camp Sequoia enjoy semi-private, climate-controlled rooms. Staff members (2:5 staffing ratio) live across the hall or next door to our campers and all campers in each age group (division) have a dedicated social lounge. This lounge includes couches, tables, board games, cards, K’Nex, Keva planks, Legos and more. This provides our campers with both comfortable community and personal space throughout the summer.
Bad weather is no problem at Camp Sequoia thanks to our amazing facilities. This is a great asset to our campers who have trouble with change in schedules. Our campers enjoy the comforts our campus provides as well as inquiry-based opportunities to connect with nature.
Camp Sequoia is very fortunate to call the Perkiomen School campus our summer home for our Boys Program. The beautiful grounds of the campus offer a wide array of playing fields and outdoor athletic facilities such as tennis and basketball courts. An indoor, competition-size swimming pool, multiple full-sized gyms and top-notch art facilities with skylights are just a few of the indoor highlights. Outside campers enjoy opportunities for fishing on an 800-acre lake, camping, boating and wilderness skills under the guidance of staff members who are Eagle Scouts. When it’s time for bed, campers will enjoy the comfort of their semi-private bedrooms which feature a bed, bureau, desk, closet, and safe for each student. Window blinds are in all rooms, and beds are twin size with extra-long bedding if needed. Cork strips are provided in all rooms to hang posters. Students are responsible for the care of their personal property, room and equipment.
